6+ years trading full-time
3+ years mentoring traders
14 years of consistent training, competing for 9 years
I’ve been trading since August 2021, and it’s been my passion from day one. Once I locked in my technicals and built a solid system, I still struggled with consistency—fear and greed kept leading to bad decisions. I knew I needed to level up, so I went on Instagram looking for a coach and found ‘The Strong Trader.’ After connecting with Tanner, we clicked instantly. He helped me become more self-aware, track my emotions, and refine my process. As I progressed, it was time to walk on my own. After saving up and building a solid cushion, I was in a position to leave my six-figure Linux Engineering job and trade full-time.
A major breakthrough for me was backend journal work. Tracking my trades, emotions, decision-making patterns, and best setups gave me complete clarity. It forced me to take extreme ownership, turning weaknesses into strengths. Most traders overlook it, but for me, it’s the foundation of consistency.
I’ve been trading for over five years, but my path wasn’t a straight line. I started as an options swing trader, and while I understood the markets well, I struggled to find real consistency. When I transitioned into futures and committed to ES exclusively, things started to come together, but I still went through long stretches of boom and bust cycles. I would build momentum, then sabotage it through hesitation, over-management, and trying to perform.
Working with Tanner helped me correct the small kinks in my system, become more self-aware, and learn how to journal with intention. That combination of structure, mindset, and belief in myself finally pushed me through the breakeven wall. From there, I was able to replace my income, quit my job, and trade full-time. Trading became more than a profession for me. It aligned with who I am at my core: disciplined, competitive, and always pushing myself to grow.
Outside the charts, I’ve always been someone who challenges myself physically and mentally whether it is lifting heavy in the gym, running races, or taking on new adventures. That mindset shaped my approach to trading. I learned that trading is not about performing or outsmarting the market. It is about trusting your edge, managing risk, and managing yourself. Once I embraced that, everything changed.
Backend journal work is what created real consistency for me. Tracking my trades, documenting my decision-making, studying my setups, and understanding the emotions behind each execution forced me to take full ownership of my process.
Journaling removed the guesswork. It helped me see exactly what was working, what wasn’t, and what needed refinement. Most traders want a new strategy, but real breakthroughs come from studying yourself. Journaling turned a chaotic journey into a repeatable system I could trust.
Trading allowed me to replace my income, buy back my time, and build a life I’m excited to wake up to. I know how difficult the journey can feel, and I don’t believe anyone should have to figure it out alone.
Someone helped me level up, and now I want to pay that forward. My goal as a coach is to help traders build confidence, trust their edge, and develop a system they can execute with clarity. Trading is one of the hardest skills in the world, but with guidance and structure, the path becomes far smoother.
I trade the S&P 500 exclusively, using ES and MES depending on the account. My style is a trend-based, level-driven approach built around continuation plays, structural stop-loss placement, and disciplined execution. I focus on clean setups only, and I let one solid trade shape my day. Keeping it simple allows me to operate consistently at a high level without overthinking.
Trading is one of the hardest skills in the world, and doing it alone makes it even harder. My goal is to give traders the guidance I never had, helping them reach consistency faster and with fewer setbacks.
